We are delighted to welcome our new international students for the start of the academic year at the CESI Nanterre campus. A new academic adventure is beginning, and we are doing everything we can to ensure it gets off to the best possible start!
To make your arrival easier, help you find your feet and discover your new surroundings, our team has put together a welcome programme designed especially for you.
A programme to get you off to a good start
This programme of activities and outings will enable you to :
- Meet other international students and make friends
- Discover the CESI Nanterre campus and its surroundings
- Familiarise yourself with the town and useful everyday services
- Explore French culture
International Welcome Desk
The International Welcome Desk will be open from 12 noon to 2 pm (Ground floor of Nanterre 1 – BDE office) on the following dates:
- Monday 7 September 2026
- Wednesday 9 September 2026
- Friday 11 September 2026
- Monday 14 September 2026
- Wednesday 16 September 2026
- Friday 18 September 2026
- Monday 21 September 2026
- Wednesday 23 September 2026
- Friday 25 September 2026
- Mercredi 23 septembre 2026
- Vendredi 25 septembre 2026
Do come along and ask any questions you may have – this is the perfect opportunity to pick up some practical information or simply meet the Student Union, CESI International and other students.
Orientation sessions and cultural outings
To help you settle into life in France and at CESI, the international team has organised a programme of activities to help you discover useful places near the campus as well as Paris’s iconic landmarks on the following dates:
- Thursday 17 September at 1.30 pm: introduction to the International Welcome Desk (N2, 3rd floor) + an afternoon of games and a table tennis tournament (ground floor of N2)
- Saturday 19 September at 12 noon: tour of the Tuileries Gardens, the Petit Palais and Notre-Dame de Paris
- Wednesday 23 September at 5.30 pm (meet at the reception desk in N1): tour of useful places near the campus (pharmacy, post office, supermarket, hairdresser, university canteen, etc.) and the La Défense district
If you’d like to take part in one or more of these events, it couldn’t be simpler: just sign up!

European Heritage Days – 19 & 20 September
Every year, this exceptional cultural weekend offers free entry to museums, monuments and sites usually closed to the public, throughout France. A unique opportunity to discover our historical and cultural heritage!
